Design | My latest design project comes to life… bride’s dress featuring hand appliqued French lace on mesh bodice with a georgette and chiffon overlayer skirt. Styled with a rose gold belt from Peter Lang and earrings from Fifth Avenue Collection.

1 note Modelling | A strange thing happened at a recent bridal shoot I styled. Somehow I managed to end up in a dress and on the other side of the camera, a place I am not usually found, being more of a BTS person! After initial nerves I managed to relax and get into the swing. Here my favourite look, a dropped waist lace bodice on organza ruffle skirt.

Bridal Couture | Last week was all about pairs (funny since isn’t that what a wedding is all about?) It seems I managed to be inspired by a pair of images for a certain idea: Spring motifs on dresses, lax n louche bridal style, sculptural dress masterpieces (thank you Zac Posen) and finally, twin sets (2 brides standing side by side?)

N.B. Each Monday I pull together some of my favourite images from my Bridal Couture | The Edit blog

Forecast | Butterflies appear from two emerging designers. A micro trend? Jean Louis Sabaji and Agne Kuzmickaite are on my radar as ones to watch. More to follow…

Bridal Couture | Each Monday I pull together 6 of my favourite images from my Bridal Couture | The Edit blog. Last week’s picks were eclectic, it seems I couldn’t just pick one thing but wanted to try it all out. Maybe a case of art imitating life?

The common thread though is this, trying something different, pushing boundaries, embracing edginess, going a little OTT to get your point across.

Forecast | Tiaras! Lately I get this funny feeling tiaras are set to come back in a big way. Crowns are for queens, crowns are oh so grown up and regal. A tiara is something else. The stuff of princesses, youth, dreams, fantasy, prettiness. Even Cara Delevingne is wearing one.

1 note Styling | The first official photo from a recent Enchanted Garden shoot I styled arrived in my inbox today. Colour, contrast, dreaminess, a slight otherworldliness.
